Aisle Runner

Since my computer died, and I was without a computer (still am!), I have chosen to occupy my time with other projects. Up first was my aisle runner. On Wednesday, I got everything set up to go. I couldn't find any tape, but thought that I would be okay if I just stacked books to hold down the aisle runner.
Note to self if you are going to attempt this: It wasn't.
TAKE 1This was after I had spent about 2 hours on it...I got to the top part of the F, and the aisle runner shifted. Not a huge deal, but the wet paint on the saran wrap below instantly soaked up on the runner. Good thing I had an extra 9 feet. The lighter shade of dark pink does not appear to be on the runner, but alas, it was. Poo.
So today, my computer is still in the shop (I should get it back tomorrow, yay!), so I thought I would try again. This time I searched out some tape so everything was double taped down. I printed out the monogram at school, copied on to an overhead and then traced it on to a big sheet of paper.
TAKE 2 Making sure that it's lined up straight before I tape the aisle runner down this time. Which paint brush should I use?
For the second go around, I decided to do our names in the light pink. Not sure I like it better than the brown though. Oh well.
This much has already taken about 2 hours. But I was loving how it was turning out. This was also the point where I started to get nervous, because it was where it shifted the last time.
I made it! :) What do you think?
Last step, filling in the brown '&' symbol, and we are complete!
I might go back and paint our names brown and then add our wedding date to the bottom, which I could put in light pink. We'll see how motivated I get once summer hits! :)
I am excited to be able to start putting these things together!
