Trip Home!

Here are some shots from the trip home that was filled with wedding goodness! Here are the two table set ups that we will have at the reception. Half the table will look like this:
{plus white table clothes}
Oh, and ignore the fake blue tealights. It's all we had without opening boxes of the actual tealights.

Here's the second set up:
I'm thinking I want to tie the gerbers up something like this: The setups are very simple, but it's just want I wanted. Enough to have some decoration...but nothing that is going to break our bank!
I also finished painting the letters for the dessert table.
Ooh, and I made a few more flower balls! I think this might be my favorite DIY to date! I have a few more to make, but I have plenty of time!
Another wedding purchase!
My addiction to the Knot has paid off yet again. Another Knottie {that's what people who are on the Knot are called, fyi} had recommended an Amazon seller for the pashminas that she ordered. Since October can be cool, I thought it would be wise to have something stylish to wear that would keep us warm(er). The best part....these were only $6.95 a piece! I ordered brown ones for the girls and a pink one for me. I ordered them on Wednesday night and they came in the mail today! I've already had mine out...but it's now safely back in its bag until October.
Oh, and my wedding shoes are resting in Eagan. The mean UPS man wouldn't deliver them today. What's up with that?

Spring Break Wedding Goodness!

I spent the last three days at my parent's house for a little getaway during my Spring Break. While I was there, my mom and I were able to start cracking away at those wedding details.

We met with the coordinator of the reception hall and nailed down the menu choices. Or at least what the choices are this week. :) We also did a little mockup of the table centerpieces. I do have some pictures, but haven't downloaded them from my camera yet.

We also met with a printer in Blue Earth to see if he'll be able to/what it would cost to print the invite portion of the invitation plus the inserts. I think we'll be having him do all the work. He quoted us a little over $100 and I can't buy ink for my printer for that price!

We were supposed to meet with a woman who is a retired floral worker, who still does wedding flowers on the side as a hobby. Unfortunately for us {but not for her!}, her granddaughter delivered her baby earlier than planned, so they had to make a spur of the moment trip to South Dakota. Oh well, maybe next time.

I'm so looking forward to the next 7 months! I know it's just going to get crazier...but I can't wait to see all the little details come together. Will anyone else care about the little details? Probably not. So if you are reading this, and come to the wedding, will you be sure to tell me that you noticed the cool flower balls? :) Thanks!

Wedding Shoes!

Look what will be coming to my house in 5-7 days!? I ordered them from here for a whopping $27.45. Shoebuy was having a Daylight Savings Sale, so I saved 20% off the original price. It's not much...but hey, $7.00 is $7.00!
The best part about ordering the shoes through Shoebuy is they have a 100% return guarentee with free return shipping. So if they don't fit, back they go.:) I hope they work though, because I think they are adorable!
