Shhh...Don't tell my mom*....

I might be a wee bit shopping obsessed for this wedding.
I ran into Walmart yesterday for chapstick and found these four jars. On clearance. I spent a total of $18.00...not a bad deal! They also had some taller versions of the apothecary jars for $7.00 that I debated on, too...but in the end, excercised great buyermanship.
(I already had one which I had received for a birthday/christmas present: Thanks, Cara!) Won't these be fabulous on our dessert table?
The plan is to fill them with our favorite {pink and brown} candy. Right now, the only definite we know is there will be M&M's of the peanut variety (hee hee). They are Jim's must have treat. Luckily, last year, during Breast Cancer Awareness month, M&M made some lovely all pink bags of treats. Will my luck hold out that they will do the same thing next year? Because I am not paying $9.00 a pound for all pink ones!
Can you think of any other brown and pink candy that you would like to enjoy at our wedding? Leave a comment to give me some ideas!?
*Don't worry, I already called my mom. Actually, I asked before I bought....but she says that I can't buy anymore vases!*

I love this bustle!

I was searching for bustles the other day when I found this picture and fell in love with it. I think it would be perfect for my dress. I also like the pleats at the waist--which could be an option to flatten out the nasty gathering on my dress!

Unity Candle!

A girl on the Knot posted about doing her Unity Candle...and it inspired me to go mess around with ours. I mean, if someone else is doing it, I better do it, too. And it's a good diversion from the homework I should be doing.
Here's what I came up with. What do you think?
I brought out the candle again...I love it. This is just plain computer paper....when I print it for real, I'll get some pretty vellum. I had 2 sheets here at the house (which you'll see below), but I made the monogram a little too large. I couldn't see the whole thing when it wrapped around the candle. I'll have to get some more vellum paper at Michael's the next {1203} time{s}I go there in the next 8 months!
On a side note: 8 MONTHS! Can you believe it's already been almost 6 months that we've been engaged?
Here is the BIG monogram on one of the kinds of vellum I had. I like that it is more subdued...but I wish the pink was pinker. It kind of looks like it's red...
Vellum #1
Vellum #2
Watch out...I think I could get carried away with this monogram! I'll try to keep it in check.

It's a good thing....

...Cara doesnt' live closer, because A) I would be broke and B) I'd never get any work done because I'd be working on wedding stuff!

Since we were shopping and in the mood to do craft little projects, I bought the supplies for the dessert table letters.
First, I sanded all the edges. Then Cara painted fuchsia on the sides.

I carefully added the brown to the top.
And *poof*.....

We have the CUTEST little letters. As with everything else, I am in love with them! Oh, and don't worry, love isn't "eew", but Michael's didn't have another S and T....so we made it into a word that we could think of :D
And while we were at Michael's...we found the paper to finish off the invitations....and you guessed it, I LOVE IT! :)
I am SO excited for all the details now....will anyone else care? Probably not, but all the pink in the house is making me one happy bride to be! :)
